Consul Kanot Kiatkong, Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chengdu Pays a Visit

17 December, 2014, Consul Kanot Kiatkong, Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chengdu Pays a Visit to our college.

Accompanied by Mr. Zhang Xugui, Director of Foreign Affairs Office and Ms. Zhang Xiaoqian, Vice Director of Foreign Affairs Office, Mr. Kanot Kiatkong pays a visit to our campus and some of our research centers or training bases.

In textile training center, Mr. Zhang introduces some textile equipments in the center and explains the textile industry chain; in the Exhibition Hall of School of Fashion Design, Mr. Kiatkong shows special interests in the bright color decoration and says the clothing style in Thailand shares it too. When touring the Shu Embroidery Center, he is greatly surprised by the fitness of those handcrafts.

Through this visit, Mr. Kanot Kiatkong is able to get a general knowledge about our college and our specialties. Our long history and hospitality impress him very much, and he will seriously consider our suggestion to implement students or lecturers exchange program with related college in Thailand and will recommend some colleges to us for possible future cooperation.
